Does Protect fail in Double Battles if both of the opponent's Pokemon switch?

In single battles, protect will fail if your opponent switches. I'm wondering if the same logic applies to double battles. Thanks :)

If the user goes last this turn, the move will fail.

So no, unless your ally also switches.
