PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

When I first saw the tapu legends' z-move and that it only dealt 3/4 of the foe's hp, I wasn't planning on ever using it. But I'm rethinking my decision. This move would definitely break walls effectively. But, I still don't know if this move is fully worth the Z slot, considering that many other z-moves have the potential to KO many Pokemon.

The move it requires, Nature's Madness, removes 1/2 the target's HP. I don't think the Z-Move is worth running over something like Life Orb, but if it helps take down that one bulky Pokémon I guess it could be useful.
Well what Z-move would you use if you didn't use Tapu Koko's Z-move?
Idk - I guess I can just overwrite a high base-power move like Thunder to powerful Z-move.
I wouldn't recommend using Tapu Z-Move, just because of the fact that there are so much better Z-Moves that you could possibly use. All that the Tapunium Z is just using Natures Madness twice. It seems kind of underwhelming when you think of it.

I only use it to catch high leveled/Rare Pokèmon. Taking 3/4 of health helps but, For taking down dragons I'd use the alternative Fairy Z move, Twinkle Tackle, or Electric Z move, Gigavolt Havoc, would've been better. Honestly I'd use Necrozma and Psychic Z move, but... if you want to catch and complete you pokèdex easy, Tapu Z move is a good idea. However it is up to you.

hm.. well it depends on first the rest of your team, like do you have and other Pokemon that could use the Z move boost? Also, it depends on your Tapu Koko's stats. You see, if you do want to use it's Z move to deal with bulky Pokemon like Snorlax, then it's a semi good choice. It does get rid of some tanks, but the Life Orb has the same effects (sort of). And besides the Z move is a one per battle thing, while the Life Orb lasts throughout the battle. And I ,myself, wouldn't use the Tapu's. My prefered legend in SM would be Necrosma. It's SP.ATTACK is very high, it can take a hit from it's disadvantages, and it's relatively fast. You can use Tapu Koko to take out tanks, but in my experience, most tank Pokemon have horrible SP.DEFENSE (except for Toxapex) so I would recommend you replace Tapu Koko with Necrozma. But the choice is completely up to you. And if you do some comparisons, the Tapu's pale compared to Necrozma.

Well since one of the elite four has some pretty bulky rock types I would say yes but since you don't really encounter many bulky Pokemon I would say no.But hey even after all of that it's your choice to have it as a Z-Move.Hope I Helped!

It helps for that the formats that power construct Zygarde is still allowed in.
