If I don't have an empty slot, will I not get shedinja?

Question

Every site I find says I should have an empty slot in my party, So I was wondering: if I don't, will I not get shedinja or will it be sent to the pc.

It is considered a "special" evolution of Nincada, appearing only when Nincada evolves into Ninjask, starting at level 20, and there is an extra space in the player's party and the player has an extra regular Poké Ball.

If you do not have an open slot in your party, you will not get Shedinja at all.

As an addendum; you also need a Pokéball. Not any ball: very specifically a Pokéball. I only offer this advice not because I think the answer is incomplete, but because I've got stung by this before!
