Ever since Marshadow was revealed and it was leak, this question has been driving me nuts
How come Marshadow changes it's form before initialising an attack?

I don't think Marshadow changes form. Can you show us a video of Marshadow changing form?
I think he is referring to Marshadow's "cape" and the wispy top changing color,

It only occurs when using Marshadow's Z-Move, though.
What kind of answer are you expecting?
If it's about the z-move, I think a lot of Pokemon transform as part of z-move animations.

Probably for that special look. It is a legendary/mythical Pokemon and a fighting type so it needs a flashy look meant for a champ (I was just thinking about Machamp XD)
