Do the weather move extender rocks work with abilities?

Damp Rock, Heat Rock, Icy Rock, and Smooth Rock extend Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Hail, and Sandstorm respectively. Will the weather be extended if I give a rock to a Pokémon with Drizzle, Drought, Snow Warning, and Sand Stream?
