Are Mythical Pokémon you get from QR Codes stated as "legit"?

So, I was with my cousin, and he had almost the complete Pokédex but Magearna and a few others. And my cousin said you could scan a QR code of it. However, I don't really think you could state that as legit. But is it after all?

Legit just refers to a Pokemon that is obtained officially (caught in the wild, bred, event, etc.) and is not hacked or cloned. So yes, a mythical scanned from a QR code is legit. Furthermore, the only way to get Megearna is through a QR code -- so any Magearna not gotten through that method isn't legit.
