As far as I know Greseous orb can be held by any other pokemons in all games. But do not know about the Spin offs.

Platinum,Heartgold and Soulsilver are the game where you can not give the Greseous Orb to anyother Pokemon. Just read the Bulbapedia 'TimeSpace Orb' article for proof.
