Since it's not in SwSh, it's time to do a Mega pidgeot set for gen 7... ig

Gen VII UU
Mega Special Attacker
Pidgeot @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Big Pecks / Tangled Feet
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hurricane
- Roost / Hyper Beam
- Heat Wave
- U-turn

No Guard + STAB Hurricane is a nasty combination, since now the latter can't miss and still has its annoying 30% confusion rate. Combined with high SpA and Speed makes for a potencially very dangerous Special Attacker

Roost allows reilable recovery and heal Stealth Rock damage (it's not like it can use Heavy Duty Boots), while Hyper Beam is a risky Normal type STAB that can be used sometimes to pick a surprise K.O. on would-be-checks to the roost variant.
Heat Wave is for coverage, mainly for Steel types.
U-turn allows safe switches into its teamates.

EVs: 8 HP / 252 SpA / 248 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane

- Refresh / Defog / Work Up / Hidden Power [Ground]

Hurricane is powerful STAB with a high confusion rate. It also never misses because of No Guard. Heat Wave is coverage for Steel-types, and is stronger than Flamethrower. Its accuracy problems are also removed because of No Guard. Roost is healing. Refresh gets rid of status, Defog removes entry hazards like Stealth Rock (which Mega Pidgeot is weak to), Work Up boosts Mega Pidgeot's Special Attack, Hidden Power [Ground] hits Rock- and Electric-types hard.

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Brave Bird is Flying type STAB. U-turn for momentum. Roost for healing, most importantly from Life Orb, Brave Bird recoil, and Stealth Rock. Defog removes Stealth Rocks (and other hazards), Work Up gives Pidgeot's offenses a boost, Return is Normal-type STAB.

Analysis
Pidgeotite makes Pidgeot evolve and gives him awesome stats.
No Guard allows for Pidgeot's moves to never miss.
Timid boosts Pidgeot's great Speed without a Choice Scarf.
EVs allow for Pidgeot to sweep.
31 IVs in every stat except Attack because no physical moves.

Hurricane never misses and is strong because of STAB.
HP Ground gets rid of some of Pidgeot's weaknesses and is coverage.
Heatwave stops Ice types and is coverage.
Roost is there to help you heal if you ever get low in HP.

Return is a physical move, therefore Modest and 0 Atk IVs weaken it. Also, you mention Timid boosting his Special Attack in your analysis, but he has Modest nature, and Timid doesn't increase Special Attack.

You're right. I'm such an idiot. I forgot Return was a physical move. Honestly there's no point in using it since it doesn't affect how many Pokemon can be hit super effectively. And I was smoking something when I said Timid boosted Special Attack lmao
