Is Melmetal worth using?

Question

I know it's pretty hard to get a Melmetal in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. But my question is, is it worth it to try and get one?

You have to get a ton of Meltan Candy in Pokemon GO for it and it's absolutely not worth it in the story mode where it would take infinitely less time grinding a team to level 100 in Viridian Forest. Its stats and movepool are excellent, and in competitive Melmetal is considered among the premier staples in LGPE OU along with Mew.

Melmetal is a pretty good physical attacker/defender. Along with that, it has high HP. However, it does poorly as a special attacker/defender. Plus, its slow. Therefore, it is a perfect physical tank, but won't survive a team of special attackers. Melmetal also has 10 not very effective types and 1 no effect type against it. In conclusion, if you want to spend the time and probably the money, Melmetal is a solid addition to your team. Just be wary that you won't be able to get your Melmetal back into Pokemon GO, and Melmetal will only be available to LGPE, and possibly Sword & Shield.

It's entirely doable (albeit time-consuming) to get Melmetal without needing to spend any money, it's just the time that's the huge deal with the mystery box recharge rates.
