PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

I'm bringing a Gible from the safari zone in Heartgold over to my Black 2 game.

  • My main goal here is to get a Gible without that unsightly Safari Ball.

My main problem here though is that If I bring a female Gible over to Black 2, any male partner or ditto that breeds with the Gible is not going to pass along the ball. If I bring a Male Gible over, I am literally incapable of producing a Gible because ditto doesn't pass along its ball and all female companions will produce their own species. Is my only option here to trade a very nice person for their Gible that I can use to breed, or am I missing something here? Thanks for your help.

If you breed pokémon in Gen. 5 or any Generation before that, you will luckily(?) get a Gible in the standard Pokéball (Red and White). So, you will get a red and white Pokéball, not the Safari Ball.

The link is faulty. It leads to an empty page.
Fixed it.
Thanks for your answer! the resource I used for pokeball inheritance didn't specify about the generation like yours did. Thanks for your help!
