Is arcanine better as a physical or special attacker?

Im playing Shield and I want a good in game arcanine. Which is better for in game Shield? Im also using only starter types.

It doesn't really matter if it's physical or special in game, but I've come to the conclusion that physical Arcanine is better. :P

1. Better physical moves such as Flame Wheel, Flare Blitz, Wild Charge, Play Rough, Extreme Speed, Crunch, Close Combat, Psychic Fangs, and Iron Head.

2. Arcanine's attack stat is 10 points higher than special attack.

He is a better physical attacker.
He has a better physical attack, and can know moves like flare blitz, play rough, wild charge, extreme speed,Psychic fangs, and iron head. I would recommend flare blitz for powerful STAB, wild charge to cover water, and iron head to cover rock. You can choose any other move as a fourth move.
