Pokémon Database says:

Storm Drain forces all single-target Water-type moves - used by any other Pokémon on the field - to target this Pokémon

When hit by the move, it deals no damage to the ability-bearer but raises its Special Attack by one stage.

It also says:

G-Max Hydrosnipe deals damage and ignores all effects of the target's Ability.

How would these two interact? I’m double battles, would gastrodon redirect the attack? Would it still get the sp. atk boost? If it redirects, would it even deal damage since it technically wasn’t the original target?I know that the other starter gmax moves ignore flash fire and sap sipper, but intelleon is hardly used, so I’m just curious.

Heres a replay, I used a Gastrodon with Storm Drain and then G-Max Hydrosnipe hit Magearna, not Gastrodon.

So G-Max Hydrosnipe does bypass Storm Drain.
