Is there a limit of Pokemon you can "catch" in Pokedex 3D?

I got hold of a bunch of the AR cards you can scan in the Pokedex 3DS app (don't worry, I'm gonna add them to the site soon!)

When I scan them, however, not all the Pokemon register. Mostly it says "Unknown card" but it has the silhouette of the Pokemon and the card is registered in the sticker book, but not the Pokemon. Only Victini, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Reshiram and Zekrom were the new ones unlocked.

So is there a limit per day or week or whatever?

Where'd you get AR cards for that? Its been bugging me only having a few pokemon on there...

EDIT: Scratch that, I just got all of the stickers online, I just need to know if they like gradually come in after they are silhouettes or something..

Well, It goes like this.

You can scan 3 new pokemon a day, and after that if you keep trying they will just appear as Silhouettes as you described.

So basically it has a 3 a day limit.

EDIT: Something I've also noticed, I'm pretty sure on opening day, they only give you the ions Zekrom and Reshiram, and Victini.

I've found this out after obtaining markers for every single pokemon, and those weren't my first scanned, but I only got them.

OK it turns out the 3 new Pokemon a day is random, but if you have scanned any AR cards you are more likely to get those.
