If you Use a hacked Pokemon in Linked/Local battles, will you still get banned?

Ik you get banned in a competitive match but what about non- competitive.

You will only get banned if you use the Pokémon in an Official Tournament. Otherwise, you should not be banned. This kind of makes sense because why should Nintendo care of you troll some online dude with Shiny Legendaries.
