On the opening option screen where you can do new game, mystery gift, mic test, relocator, etc, go there. Then under the battle competition option, click Game Sync Settings. I'm guessing the rest is self explanatory since I've already done it. I can't tell you the next steps (if there is any). But if you still need help, you can google it.
