I know that when you use swords dance your attack stat increases by 100% each time you use swords dance. I also know that STAB increases moves of the same type as the user by 50%. So I am wondering if STAB increases by 100% when using swords dance? Aka does physical STAB bonus double in power when you use swords dance?

P.S I am sorry if this has been asked before, I have checked but I may have missed it
1. Swords Dance increases your physical attack by 100%

2. Stab increases damage by 50%
Well I looked it up and it said the stab was 20% and swords dance was %50 but I guess it was wrong
Ok so I edited it so it’s not wrong

*STAB boosts a move by 50%, not 20%

*Swords Dance doubles the Attack stat

STAB is affected by Swords Dance.

+2 252+ Atk Zacian-Crowned Behemoth Blade vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Zacian-Crowned: 260-306 (79.7 - 93.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO* (This Swords Dance boosted Zacian-Crowned has had its Steel typing removed)

+2 252+ Atk Zacian-Crowned Behemoth Blade vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Zacian-Crowned: 390-459 (119.6 - 140.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO (This Swords Dance boosted Zacian-Crowned still has its Steel typing)

The damage calculator I used for this can be found here

This is wrong. Swords dance is normal first of all. + Huh how did you calculate that?
I just went into the calcs and removed Zacian's Steel typing and replaced it with ???
Also I never mentioned anything about Swords Dance being Normal or not
Yeah and also does stab bonus double when swords dance is used
I am unsure if you said that before
STAB moves do not get double the damage after a Swords Dance. Without STAB, a move has a 100% boost, and after STAB is calculated, the move is boosted by 150%, which is equivalent to using Swords Dance twice and then being Intimidated, then using a non-STAB move.
Ok thx
np, glad i helped

Nope, that's not how it works. Stab is independent from any source of boosts. As aug said, it boosts moves of the same type of the user by 50%. Stab itself isn't affected by swords dance, as it is a percentage boost, so technically it is just adding a modifier
