I just want to start off by saying great question Sf,

Okay now to the answer.

Nature Power like Metronome Will Set off Life orb recoil if used as an attacking move,

Eg. Nature Power makes Earthquake, Life orb recoil will be calculated, along with metronome, if it uses an attacking move.
