The Normalize ability makes all moves used by the user Normal-type. Does this also extend to Copycat's copied move, as it's not performed by the user? I haven't found anything on this, so I assume it does.
Yes I tested this in Showdown. In this battle, Rock Smash and Brick Break (I tested Assist as well) were both effected by Normalize, making them not very effective. And in case you wanted to see, moves from a Normalize Pokemon called by Copycat have their regular effects.
