In the area zero multi battles, can the partners tera?

They have their full teams, so if they get to their last Pokemon (with the exception of arven, as he sends his ace out first) will they terastalise it?

Fun fact, this question gave me the motivation to finish a Violet playthrough of mine, so thanks I guess.
Anyways, the answer is No.

I tried not Terastalizing, Terastalizing in the battle, trying to waste my Tera before the battles (it got recharged somehow), but nothing worked, the partners do not Terastalize their Pokemon.

Also, they didn't send their aces out last for me, the order the mons where sent out changed between battles except the leading Pokemon but they didn't send the aces out last.

your tera orb regenerates instantly inside area zero, probably so you don't have to constantly leave. Make sense lore wise too, considering the crystals

Yeah. I figured that out eventually but I didn't know if it was a plot thing or not at first.
