Can Pokémon with unreleased evolutions still use the Eviolite?

by
Duraludon isn’t even able to be caught or transferred to SV, and I don’t think it will appear in the Teal Mask DLC that has just released, so Duraludon won’t be able to hold an Eviolite in SV until it is added with the Indigo Disk DLC. :P

No, you have to wait until it actually has the evolution. You'll be able to use the eviolite regardless of if you have the DLC tho.

Source: experience

How can you have experience if the DLC hasn’t dropped yet?
it evolution isnt out yet duh
What about in competitive?
hallucinogens i only put experience as the source when there isn't really a source but i know the answer. No, you still can't use eviolite in competitive, archaludon doesn't exist yet.
@Mikki Galarian Slowpoke had the same mechanics before it got its evolution, so I think it's sensible to say that this would also apply to Duraludon.

EDIT: Nvm, read my sources wrong.
"You'll be able to use the eviolite regardless of if you have the DLC tho."

I understand "experience" working for the first half of the answer, but the second half will need more than "I know the answer."
