Can you go back to Pewter before getting Cut?

Question

In the Kanto games, the end of Diglett's Cave requires HM Cut to go through and the route from Mt. Moon is one way. Is there any other way to get to Pewter before you get Cut?

It purposely blocks you from going back until you get Cut, Surf, or Fly. However, you get Cut early in, at the SS Anne. If you’re stuck before Misty and don’t want to grind, you may as well just reset the save file.

Theoretically, you could Teleport back to Pewter if you manage to catch an Abra, and don’t use any other Pokecenters. But that’s a massive pain

Yeah, there's a few ways.
1. Visit a Pokecenter before Mt. Moon. Then, white out after exiting Mt. Moon. When you are healed, you will be transported to the Pokecenter back before Mt. Moon. You cannot have used any other Pokecenters, or it will take you there.
2. Get a teleport knowing Pokemon (idk if theres more than Abra) and heal at a Pokecenter before Mt. Moon. Same rules as the previous way, but you use Teleport rather than whiting out.
There may be more, but I can't think of them rn.
