PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

So, the other day, I was wondering if it was possible to make a Pokémon impossible to hit. The best I’ve got Is a Sheninja With the electric Tera Type, and an air balloon. But it can still get hit by Pokémon with mold breaker, or reshiram if it knows a ground move. Is there any way to make a Pokémon immune to Every single move?

Short answer no
Also moves like Sunsteel Strike and just general status moves like Toxic can bypass this.
AFAIK the closest you can get is transferring Sturdy to Shedinja, then paralyzing it yourself, while it holds the Safety Goggles.  Since Shedinja only has 1 HP, it will always have full HP for Sturdy to make it survive a hit with 1 HP.  Because it's paralyzed, it can't be Burned, Poisoned, or Toxic'd.  And the Safety Goggles will protect it from Sandstorm.

The issue is actually getting Sturdy on there in the first place, since Wonder Guard is an otherwise sort of OP ability.  GameFreak made it not possible to transfer while it's active.  So you need to suppress it or override it first, with things like Gastro Acid or Worry Seed.  In Double Battles, this is kind of a death sentence, since you leave your Shedinja vulnerable to all forms of damage for a full turn before you can move Sturdy from the other Pokemon.  The further problem being that, AFAIK, the only Pokemon capable of transferring Sturdy onto Shedinja is Carbink, since it learns Skill Swap and has the ability Sturdy.  But...  Carbink can't learn any ability suppressants -- it can only Skill Swap.  So you have to survive an extra turn to swap the Carbink in after you've suppressed Wonder Guard.  The math changes a lot on Triples, but those are kind of not a thing.  Park Shedinja in the middle, between the Carbink from above, and an Eelektross on the other side that knows both Gastro Acid and Thunder Wave.  Manipulate the Speed stats of the Eelektross and the Carbink so the Carbink will always move immediately after the Eelektross to minimize the possibility of your opponent interrupting the transfer process.  Then, the next turn, use Thunder Wave to paralyze Shedinja, while you switch Carbink out for soemthing else.  Like a Ditto, which can Transform into the Shedinja, for example.

Further, there's no way to stop item manipulation.  Knock Off is very common, and even Trick to swap items sees a fair bit of use.  Similarly, there's no way to prevent the Shedinja from being Confused, since Sturdy doesn't block damage from Confused.  I think multi-hit moves also get around Sturdy, since it only triggers once per move use.  And while you'll probably never see it in competitive play, Future Sight takes place between turns, where Sturdy doesn't take effect (like Burn/Poison/Toxic and Sandstorm).
^^^Entrainment.

Will take same amount of turns though, as no Pokemon with Entrainment has Sturdy
You can stop both item-manipulating moves and ability-manipulating moves with sticky hold and ability shield, but then you just go back to being vulnerable to regular attacks.
It's impossible to become immune to sunsteel strike. No type or item provides complete immunity to it, and it ignores all abilities that can completely prevent an attack's damage. There are a few moves (like protect) that can prevent it, but those aren't guaranteed to succeed after one turn.

Ability Shield keeps your Wonder Guard ability no matter what, which makes you immune to Mold Breaker-like abilities and moves: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/national-dex-balanced-hackmons-spotlight-ladder-of-july.3711099/post-9448079
Perish Song is also an issue, since you can only be immune to it if you have Soundproof or Good As Gold, which means you don't have Wonder Guard anymore.
Sumwun, the link you provided says the Ability Shield blocks effects that ignore abilities, including the moves.
That's why sumwun converted from an answer to a comment :/
Oh. My bad
Also I was the one who added the information to the page after I got corrected.
Is there any way to become immune to haze? I know it's not blocked by substitute, magic bounce, or good as gold.
It might be the clear amulet to block haze
How about a paralysed wonder guard burn up Arcanine with ability shield? Since burnup removes fire type and since arcanine is pure fire, if arcanine uses it it becomes the ??? type, with no weakness and no resistances. play this with wonderguard and this might work?
Are ??? types immune to moves like Soak? Also Perish Song is an issue as stated above.
Haze does not inflict damage or status so can you really be immune to it?

??? Types are not immune to Soak
@Ferrari Other effects that block stat drops, like mist and white smoke, don't block haze, so I don't think clear amulet would work either.
@Lchonk It would still be vulnerable to whirlwind, switcheroo, and a bunch of other status moves.
@Monkeybusiness If a Pokemon has no stat changes to remove, it still says stat changes were removed instead of the move failed. Does that count as an immunity?
Imo no but y'all might think differently.

Also, you think if it was possible to be immune to every move someone would have discovered that by now?
@sumwum Oh
@Lchonk It wouldn’t be immune to mold breaker
Ability shield blocks mold breaker.
Oh(Really gotta check things before answering)
I think good as gold is the only way to block curse, and when you have good as gold, you can't have wonder guard or sturdy. Does this answer the question?
I would say so. OP is not going to respond

Good as gold is the only thing in the game that blocks curse. Magic bounce doesn't bounce it, and magic guard only prevents its damage (so if a magic guard Pokemon is cursed and has its ability removed, it'll still take damage).

If a Pokemon has good as gold, it can't have wonder guard, which is the only ability that can completely block multiple types of attacks.

Conclusion: no.
