Does Leech Seed still heal if used on a Pokémon with Magic Guard?

On the page for Magic Guard, it says a Pokémon with Magic Guard can’t take damage from Leech Seed. But does the user of Leech Seed still recover HP?

Fizz's 2014 answer to what moves are affected by Magic Guard include:

Damage from Leech Seed - this means that the healing process is stopped as well
