Why am I not having a double battle in dark grass?

i went in the dou le battle grass but it didnt work it only gave one Pokemon why.??

Did you try multiple times? Not every encounter is a double encounter.

There is only a chance of double battle in dark grass; it is not guaranteed. The exact odds of a double battle are unknown.

Ensure the following:

• You are in Dark Grass.
• You have more than 1 Pokemon able to fight in your party. You need two non-fainted, non-eggs Pokemon in your party.
• Your cartridge is authentic.

Bugs are to be expected if you are playing on an emulator or fake cartridge.

If you do dozens of encounters with no double battle, and you have two active Pokemon in your party, and you’re in the Dark Grass, not on an emulator or fake cartridge, I highly advise you to post a video of the cartridge, your party, and you trying the encounters, for further troubleshooting.
