If I have a Shedinja in Pokémon Shield with Sandstorm and I battle another Shedinja, will I cause a tie if my Shedinja uses Sandstorm while the other Shedinja does not use a damaging move? Theoretically, the Sandstorm will cause both Pokémon to faint at the same time at the end of the first turn, resulting in a tie.

I could be wrong, but I think the Pokemon that gets buffed first, loses. Although I don’t know how that’s calculated
I imagine it's based on speed and random in speed ties, but I don't know how to confirm this.
Apparently it is based on speed. source: https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/191928/in-what-order-is-weather-damage-dealt But does it mean in a speed tie, the loser is random?
btw both shedinjas have same speed

since both Shedinja have the same speed stat the game will 50/50 the odds of who gets hit first by Sandstorm just like how a speed tie is resolved, so whoever's Shedinja gets hit first will lose the battle.

Source personal experience with speed ties and this https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/191928/in-what-order-is-weather-damage-dealt
