So if you remember back when Pokemon go just came out it was an awesome moment. Until people got on the trend and called themselves Pokemon fans… but anyways so back in 2021 I think Pokemon Go said that they were going to make AR glasses. Back then I thought that was the coolest thing. “I can Pokemon go when I should be doing important things and no one will be the wiser!” I said in my 2021 voice. Yeah but now I was thinking over everything Pokemon as I try to go to sleep and I suddenly remembered that they never really did anything with that. Or if they did I was not informed. So basically is it still going? If so how close are they to finishing? Is there any information whatsoever about the glasses!
Ok so I was bored of this not getting answered so I did research and decided to answer it myself. So basically yes and no Niantic has not come out officially with anything since the teaser for Pokemon go ar glasses. I say officially because they have hinted at it. On march 12, 2025 they did say they were pulling away a bit from Pokemon go to focus more on ar glasses technology.
