Can a Pokemon temporarily copy sketch by using mimic, copycat, transform, or other similar moves?

In gen two, yes. Mimic fails but transform does not, and in a battle where smeargle knows more moves then just sketch it can copy and keep those, which can lead to some potential glitches coming from this. Copycat also fails.

Mirror move cannot be copied by sketch after gen 4, but before then it copied mirror move just fine.

In gen 9 I tested it and mimic fails, copycat fails, and ditto can't seem to use sketch so it they just struggle to death. Also, if a smeargle used transform it just fails, probably to prevent the same glitches from happening.

Do you know how mirror move interacts with sketch?
it fails, I edited that in
How do you know?
The wiki page for sketch. But I did clarify the answer. I hope I have appeased your demands , Mr. sumwun
Oh I see it now. Bulbapedia also says metronome, assist, magic coat, and snatch all don't work on sketch.

How do other moves interact with sketch? I know that transformed Pokemon can permanently sketch moves in gen 2.
