I want to shiny hunt Eevee when I beat the game. I heard I should get a Turbo controller? And set it to auto-click A so that I can AFK reset using benches. What Bench is the best for shiny hunting Eevee?

Please consider reasonable areas, spawn rates, and range.

If there’s any other Eevee shiny hunting methods I should consider outside of the bench one, please let me know

Find a bench near an eevee and then do it I guess idk
yeah I’m wondering which bench is the best

So in theory, the best Eevee spawn would be the individual who lives in Wild Zone 19. This is because it's the only one who shows up consistently regardless of the environmental conditions, whereas all the other Eevees either only show up during sunny daytime weather or only have a very low chance of spawning. This Eevee has a 5% chance of being Alpha, so also consider whether that's desirable or not.

Here's the problem: benches and fast travel points reroll the Pokemon in a 50m radius around you, and unfortunately, this Eevee's listed spawn point appears to be just out of range of any benches. From experience, I believe that you can actually see the Eevee itself in a few different spots among the bushes, but as it's not clear if there are various points for the actual spawner nor if they'd all be within range, I'm going to warn that the bench method may not work, or at least may not be as effective for this one. Of the people I've seen with shiny Eevees, none of them used a bench for the Zone 19 Eevee.

So you have 3 options for shiny hunting Eevee that I can think of:

  • Repeatedly fast travel to Wild Zone 19. This is the most efficient method but it takes effort to do. May be possible to automate with third party tools that let you schedule a series of inputs.
  • Use the bench by the northwest corner of Wild Zone 19, running several steps straight east up to the Wild Zone's edge every time to ensure that you trigger the spawn. Honestly, I can't see any reason to do this one over the previous one, but that's how you could use a bench for the Zone 19 Eevee...
  • Use the normal bench method near an Eevee who only spawns during sunny daytime weather, accepting that you'll be reducing your chances by more than half because nights and non-sunny days don't count. This is the least efficient method but it requires the least effort and can be done AFK with a turbo controller. When you check for your shiny, make sure it's daytime with sunny weather (there should be a ☀ icon in the top right corner of your map).
Recommended locations include the south bench in Vert Sector 9 and the rooftop bench on the far western corner of Magenta Sector 9.

This analysis is based off of this map, which shows the 50m range and spawn points, and Serebii's map of Lumiose City, which gives more details about the conditions for each spawn.

Hyperdimension DLC Update

With this release, Eevee is now easier to hunt for DLC owners, as it can be found in Hyperspace, where Sparkling Power can be used to increase the shiny rate and where fast travel is more efficient. There is a chance to obtain Sparkling Power with Sweet-flavored donuts; the higher your Sweet points, the more likely it is that you'll get it. See this guide for more details on donut powers. If you find a distortion containing Eevee, you can repeatedly fast travel to the entry portal to roll for shinies—this is more effective here since Eevee will spawn in groups of multiple individuals and load times are faster.

A notable strategy is to create a donut with Lv. 3 Sparkling Power (Normal) and enter a monotype distortion that is not themed around Normal-types, yet which contains Eevee. Distortions which show an Eeveelution in their preview are the best candidates for this, as the Eeveelutions spawn with Eevees around them, so reroll your distortions by sitting at benches until you find one. Using the aforementioned donut will typically guarantee a shiny Eevee since Lv. 3 Sparkling Power rewrites the ID of an applicable spawn to force it to be shiny if none exists, and there shouldn't be any other Normal-types around to count as applicable spawns. Because this method guarantees a shiny, you can use the backup save trick (explained in the donut guide) to more efficiently hunt for shinies with certain desired attributes, such as a shiny female Eevee or a shiny Eevee of a particular size.

you’re amazing
glad to help! Also, I just checked out the bench near Zone 19 and the Pokemon don't even render from there, so that increases my doubt about that one being benchable at all. It's also on a rooftop so you'd have to run off and climb back up in order to render them... overall no reason to do this method but I included it for the sake of explaining why it doesn't work here

I've recently started shiny hunting Absol for the new DLC, and I have a little spot I like to hunt in. Eevee is another spawn there.

Go to the Magenta Pokemon Center and head along the canal. Ignore the first Holovator. Once you reach the man that says, "The number of wild Pokemon around the city is soaring", look left. There should be a Holovator. Go up it and there will be a bench and a Flabebe. If you jump off the building onto the one with the ladder, there will be an Absol at the top. Meanwhile, on sunny days, an Eevee will spawn on the building to the right with the 7 shaped patch of grass. Or you could just run in a circle in Wild Zone 19. Either way.

Hope this helped!

The only problem with this is that it relies on it being sunny, so you can't do it all the time (ik benches but its just easier if you dont have to mess around with them)
Basically the only way to hunt Eevee is with very specific conditions, in my opinion. I'm also curious if there's a better way to do this that isn't weather reliant, but I still don't know :/.
The other answer mentions a static Eevee in Wild Zone 19 that spawns in any weather
Strange thing is, I've tried that and- no luck! I've never found an Eevee in any weather condition besides sunny. Is it only a me issue?

Okay... I just got a shiny Eevee (named it Reon)! I decided to hunt it today after seeing this post. I actually did not get Reon from any of the locations posted here, but instead in Hyperspace Lumiose (DLC content) in a (if memory serves) 3 star portal using an Encounter Power 2 donut. The map was that one where there's a rectangular perimeter of buildings and that one area in the center with all the scaffolding. Basically I entered Hyperspace and saved my game just in case. Next I went to the middle, which should have a group of roughly 8 Eevee, and knocked 'em all out. After that I ran around about half of the perimeter, catching some other spawns on the way. When I came back all the Eevees had respawned. I kept at that until I found a shiny after going back on my save only once.

If you don't have the DLC, you can take a look at my past answer, but it isn't that good. Hope this helps!
