Will Pokopia be on a regular cartridge?

I don’t want to buy a game-key card, and I want a physical copy. Has it been confirmed there will be only the game key card?

Pokopia will only be available digitally or via Game-Key Card. We're still a ways out from release date, so this might change, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

This information can be found on Pokopia's Japanese website, which lists suggested retail prices for digital and Game-Key Card versions — the physical cartridge version is conspicuously absent.

Just because the Japanese site has only Key-Card and digital downloads for the Japanese market, does that mean that it’s 100% guaranteed other countries won’t get the physical edition?

If Nintendo UK is using Pokopia as an example of a Game-Key Card, I think it's safe to say it won't be getting a proper physical release.

i'm wondering how using it as an example of a game-key card in a demo for game-key cards = no regular release? that doesn't make logical sense to me on how that conclusion can be made

The preorder page (https://pokopia.pokemon.com/en-us/preorder/) uses the Game-Key Card version as the opening image, and the text says "The digital and game-key card versions of Pokémon Pokopia are available for preorder."

I don't think there's ever been a time where the physical and digital versions of a Pokemon game *weren't* available for preorder concurrently.

So your logic is that because one country is using it as promotional material and another is saying these are the options we have = won’t be possible to have a release in no other region?

Don’t get me wrong, saying “this is what’s available now” is valid, but it seems like a major assumption to assume because the game-key card is used in promotional material, and because America hasn’t offered it, that it 100% won’t happen, especially since Nintendo previously said they would not release just a game-key card for their games. Because of the prior statement and backlash, and because they haven’t said they aren’t, and because other countries can have different releases, I don’t see how it’s impossible. I feel like it could be fair to have the addition later, as evidently by the sources your provided, they haven’t said there won’t be, yet
