I didn't really know how to word the title any better...

In Sword/Shield, there's a mechanic where if you knock out a wild Pokemon in the overworld and stand still for a bit, there's a chance the next Pokemon that spawned in will be the same species as the one you knocked out. How does this work with Pumpkaboo? Will the next Pumpkaboo that spawns in with this mechanic always be the same size as the one you knocked out, or will it have a chance to be any of the four sizes?

I recognize this might be hard to test. If Pumpkaboo spawns by size and not by species (I'm not sure which it spawns by, I think size but I'm not sure please tell me), then there's a chance that the next Pumpkaboo that spawns in isn't from the mechanic but just another random Pumpkaboo (this goes double for me since I have a Harvest lead). Regardless, I appreciate any answer I can get!

Asking the hard-hitting questions
To clarify, I don't know if Pumpkaboo spawns by size, as in each size spawns individually, or it's by species, where there's a singular Pumpkaboo spawn that chooses between one of the sizes. Looking at the spawns on the Database and considering my spawns when I have a Harvest lead, it seems like each size spawns individually, so I'm inclined to think the next Pumpkaboo should always be the same size, but at the same time, the Pokedex treats them by species when it comes to the total battled.

These are likely different and for wild encounters the game spawns them by size, but I'm not 100% sure.

I hope this makes sense in relation to my question, even though I'm coming off as an idiot trying to be knowledgeable about something they know nothing about.
