THE BEST METHOD FOR SHINY TYRANITAR IS SPARKLY DONUTS IN THE DLC
The best method is in the mega dimension dlc:
(A guide to donuts, for future reference)
1) get access to using 8 berries
2) go to a Pokémon centre and then go to hotel Z and save (this step is for putting down a backup save)
3) use 8 hyper tanga berries. your looking for lvl 3 sparkling power: rock/dark/all types and lvl 2-3 alpha power (optional) Do backup saves until you get the required donut. Lvl 3 sparkling gives you a garunteed shiny of that type of it is in the distortion
4) find a distortion that has a member of the tyranitar line on it. This will either be a sillouette of the Pokémon or if you have caught it, it will be its za menu sprite.
5) enter a Pokémon centre and fly to the nearest place to the distortion, hence putting down a backup saves
6) if the garunteed shiny is not a t-tar then you have 2 options
1. Find the t-tars and reset them with run-aways or teleporters or fly spams. (extra info replace charcadet with t-tar for contex) If you still don’t get a shiny then do a backup save
2. Backup save immediately and reset until the garunteed one is a t-tar
7) when you see your target, save, and catch it. Save again, and leave the distortion with your new shiny t-tar.
BUT WITHOUT DLC
Your gonna want to reset the alpha larvitar spawning on the roof opposite the one with the monkeys. This video explains it better than me. You get a quick shiny AND it’s alpha.
