Not that I'm aware of, but all shiny hunting methods have the same base mechanism: spawning and despawning a Pokémon. All the different methods are just different ways to do that repeatedly. So you could come up with a new method where you respawn them by, say, blacking out next to the Pokémon (which rerolls it) over and over, but it just wouldn't be very efficient. You can also soft reset like in other Pokémon games but it's usually slower. That's why people usually don't mention other strategies, since fast travel, benches, and running back and forth are the best options in 99% of situations. The one exception I can think of is Latios, where soft resetting is maybe a little easier.
