Will weakness policy activate for a tera ghost purifying salt garganacl?

it keeps saying "Its super effective!" when its in fact neutral, but will weakness policy activate?

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure purifying salt  halves the damage and has nothing to do with user type so it’s still super effective. So it should work, because it’s still super effective

I image yes. Purifying Salt only halves the damage taken. It doesn't make Garg immune to ghost.

Yes, Weakness Policy will activate.

Purifying Salt doesn't change any of the Ghost Type's actual properties when interacting with Garganacl. The ability halves the damage received from Ghost type attacks. This essentially allows Garganacl to take neutral damage from Ghost Type attacks, without the type itself dealing neutral damage, if that makes sense.

Source: I tested in an in-game Double Battle where my Tera Ghost Nacli took Super Effective damage from Hex and Weakness Policy activated.
