How to get more shiny Pokemon in Pokemon go?

Question

I've played Pokemon Go for about 3 years now and in all that time I have only gotten one shiny Diglett.

Sooo is there something i'm doing wrong?

or is there a way to boost the shiny odds so it's easier?

Also would getting a Pokemongoplus help me get more shinys?

Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

There isn’t really a way to boost shiny odds but there are ways to increase encounters. I can say some if you like

Community days are the best, a certain Pokemon spawn more frequently and 1/25 chance for shiny (doubtful). RAIDs are another way but they cost a lot if you’re trying for legendarys. Incenses increase Pokemon spawns and so do lure models at pokestops. Also there are many methods to keep stuff going faster. Quick catch is a method that skips catching animation so you can go through Pokemon faster. Shiny checking is looking at Pokemon and fleeing if they aren’t. Some Pokemon have permanent shiny boosts like Scyther, Chansey and pinco but those Pokemon are somewhat rare. Auto catcher using Go+ lets catching quicker. Finally there are Raid Days, mega raids, Research days, Go Fests and spotlights hours boost odds. If you don’t trust me, they are other people and the internet for a reason.
