I don't have Champions myself. I knew at least one of the mechanics was different but I didn't know how. I finally saw them in an RMT post and want to know how both mechanics work compared to the traditional mechanics in-game. So can anyone explain what's up with these whack ahh EVs?

As a bonus, how does training/applying EVs and IVs work? Do trained Pokemon from other games lose their EVs/IVs? Could you give a Pokemon a specific number of EVs/IVs?

not a full answer but IVs are not a thing in champions.

IVs don't exist.

Secondly, when you transfer Pokemon from HOME to Champions, they retain their EVs that they had outside Champions. Also, it is of note that if you change a Pokemon's EVs or moves while in Champions, it will not change the moves and EVs it had outside Champions.

By the way, apparently I screwed up and read the spreads wrong. Champions does use a 66 stat point spread that usually goes 32/32/2. Sorry for messing that up.

To be short, sending a Pokemon to and back from Champions will not change EVs, IVs or moves.

Thanks. But how do I translate what showdown messed up to actual EVs? Do you know?
unfortunately I do not know how to turn Showdown stats into regular EVs
Thought I'd mention that you essentially have 12 extra EVs (which is the remaining two points after going 32 32 points which is equivalent to 252 252 EVs in two stats), so while you can do a 252/252/4 spread (32/32/1 point spread) in Champions, you're essentially missing out on another point (or 8 EVs) to use in Champions.

Also, to convert EVs to the points and nice versa, 1 point is essentially the same as doing EVs at level 50, so 1 point is equal to 4 EVs, then the other points are equal to 8 EVs) (Basically, the points are essentially EVs starting at 4, then going to 12, 20, 28, 36, 44, 52, 60, and so on)
