How to get to Sabrina's gym in Red/Blue/Yellow?

Question

For the longest time, I cannot get to Sabrina's gym because I can't get to Giovanni. The hideout is 100% a struggle because I watched multiple tutorials, mainly on FRLG or is slightly sped up. If someone can help me, it'll be greatly appreciated.

The way I do it is go straight to floor 5, and immediately press yourself into the left wall all the way west. Go down all the way again and you will see a grunt with a warp panel. Hop on the warp panel but immediately go back in where you warped out of. DON’T MOVE go down to the boxed of area and go right. You’ll find the Card Key. After all that go back to the elevator and go to floor 3. If you go down straight from the elevator you’ll see a room dividing the two hallways go into the left room and step on the warp panel. Everything after that is very linear and takes you straight to Giovanni. Sorry if this was unclear.
