Why did Politoad lose Pound in the recent Pokemon Champions Update?

I recently learned that Politoad has lost pound in the recent update. I don’t get why Gamefreak would go to the effort of doing this though I imagine there must be a reason behind it.

I think they removed a lot of duplicate moves, in your case Tackle replacing the other 40 power normal moves, but that's just a theory, it might be wrong

If there isn’t an actually reason for pound being removed this probably counts as a gamefreak logic question and I’ll hide it. I honestly don’t know why I had this tagged for competitive and Ive changed that now.
