How does time work in Pokemon Sword and Shield?

I saw a question about time in Pokemon scarlet some I was wondering how time worked in these games as well. If there is anything about time zones, please add them.

The sun rises, and then, later in the day, it goes down.

During the main story, the time of day is locked in all areas outside the Wild Area. It follows the path and canon of the story. After completing the game, the time syncs to your Nintendo Switch's time, and follows a normal day-night cycle akin to real life. The Wild Area does this from the beginning of the game.
