It is the part in your game where you compete against other players after you finished the basic story of the game.

The metagame is simply the overall representation of the competitive environment. It is the term used to encase the league for all of the guidelines of roles, tiers, movesets, and bans. Essentially, everything within competitive context makes up the "Metagame".
