Vote to befriend a pokemon?

I saw a news topic at pokemon.com where they say that you can vote for a pokemon you want to befriend. I was wondering if the pokemon you'll receive is the pokemon with the most votes (now arceus) or the pokemon you voted for?

You get the pokemon most voted for so right now when the time comes if Arceus is still in the lead everyone would get a arceus.
