What is a 'Via Seed?'

Question

I was looking at bulbapedia because I've never seen a violent seed before in EOT, but it turns out I can't get one :( But that has nothing to do with the question. Because then I saw an odd-looking picture of a 'Via Seed' at the bottom of the 'Seed' page, and it said it was first introduced in EOS, but there was no info on what it did. I have proof here.

It just warps you to a random place on the floor, its fun to throw though!

Well I have that in my game, it's just called a 'Warp Seed'
