Does anyone know why Red calls you weak after you fight him in HG/SS?

he just says .................brfore you battle him
and after you beat him, he also says ...............
I think you meant Silver, the rival with red hair

If its heartgold or soulsiler he says ......... ........... .... if its a old game he calls you weak or your thinking your rival called you weak so its because he is a evil trainer you think your rival is red because he has red hair
