What happens in Diamond when the National Pokedex is full?

nothing just stays the same after unless you catch it and the pokemon symbol is there.plus professor rowan should give you something. hope it helps. :]

when you complete the national pokedex your trainer card turns blue

Not necessarily if you already have blue or higher. Because beating the contest or getting 50 flag, and even having 100win steak of battle tower is easier than catching all pokemon.
