Lumineon (F) @ Normalium Z
Ability: Swift Swim
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Splash
- Endure
- Flail
- Waterfall

This set is aimed to sweep and is made for the Battle Spot Singles Format. This set requires rain support to function properly, as rain boosts the power of Waterfall and doubles Lumineon's speed, making it hard to revenge kill. Memento support is also needed to allow Lumineon to survive a hit, or force out the current Pokemon on the field so Lumineon can pull off Z-Splash. While not mandatory, Stealth Rock and Spikes support can break focus sashes and help wear down bulkier Pokemon; however, you are only allowed to bring three Pokemon to Battle Spot Singles so it may be hard to fit all the support onto one team: Hazards should never be prioritized over Rain and Memento as the latter two are mandatory to pull off a sweep. One thing to note is that this set loses to priority; While Psychic Terrain may be handy, it's hard to fit onto a team. Splash is used in conjunction with Normalium-Z to grant Lumineon with three attack boosts, making it hit surprisingly hard. Endure allows Lumineon to get down to 1 HP and power up Flail to 200 base power. Waterfall is Lumineons STAB and most reliable physical move outside of Flail. It also gets boosted by the rain. Swift Swim doubles Lumineons speed making it harder to revenge kill. 252 attack EVs, along with an adamant nature allow Lumineon to hit as hard as possible. 252 speed EVs ensure Lumineon is never revenge killed by timid Choice Scarf Naganadel; the fastest common revenge killer in the Battle Spot Singles format. This also means that other common Choice Scarf users, such as Tapu Lele cannot revenge kill Lumineon. The remaining 4 EVs go into HP to give Lumineon an odd numbered HP stat.

Lumineon should come in and try to sweep once Rain is set up and a Pokemon has used Memento before sending Lumineon in, to allow it to set up Z-Splash on a target with minus two in attacking stats or on a switch. It should then use Endure to get down to 1 HP to bring Flail to 200 base power. The combination of a rain-boosted Waterfall and a 200 base power Flail should then be used to break through the opponents team.

As Lumineon needs Rain and Memento support, Pokemon that can set these up are mandatory. Some examples include Whimsicott and Uxie. Whimsicott's Encore is also very nice to stop opponents from setting up too early. It is recommended that either one of the former two hold a Damp Rock to extend the rain. Lumineon may struggle to break through extremely bulky Pokemon (mostly water types, such as Jellicent), so wall breakers pair well and can be used in the final team slot. A good example is Tsareena as Tsareena can easily break through bulky Pokemon, and water types with its powerful moves which include Power Whip, High Jump Kick and Knock Off. Tsareena also comes with some utility as it can block priority with its Queenly Majesty ability, or bring in Lumineon safely with U-turn. As Tsareena is a grass type, fire type Pokemon will want to come in on Tsareena, so once Tsareena U-turns on the predicted switch, Lumineon can come in safely and force the Pokemon with the type disadvantage out and get off a Z-Splash on the predicted switch. Tsareena also appreciates the rain as it weakens fire-type moves.

Gen 7 ZU
Lumineon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Defog
- Tailwind
- U-turn
Explanation: Lumineon doesn't have good stats to be a sweeper. So, I decided to make it a support Pokemon. (although it is outclassed by another support Pokemon...) Scald is STAB and has a chance to inflict a burn. Defog gets rid of entry hazards on your side. Tailwind doubles your team's speed. U-Turn is for pivoting.

"Make sure it has the ability Swift Swim for this moveset (besides, Storm Drain sucks)".

Oh, how much your view on pokemon has changed..
Well, this generation Storm Drain boosts Special Attack one stage when hit by a Water type attack. It didn't have that effect before when I previously answered this question back in Gen IV.

Lumineon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Rain Dance
- Substitute
- Bounce
- Sweet Kiss

Instruction: You start out with Substitute. To save your Substitute, you use Bounce to deal some damage, and have a chance of paralyzing your opponent. After you would use Sweet Kiss to prevent some attacks, and for the opponent to damage self. If they are still alive after this you should use Rain Dance, and spam Bounce to do more physical damage. From now on you will be faster, and if they fall out of confusion you can Sweet Kiss them again, replace a Substitute, and more. It's easy, as long as you are used to it. I personally use this all the time in Pokemon Showdown, and I usually win.

Lumineon @ Leftovers
Abilty: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Aqua Ring
- Toxic
- Scald
- Soak / Protect

This is meant to be a special wall. Storm Drain gives Lumineon an immunity which can help other members of the team. Aqua Ring and Leftovers provide a good amount of healing each turn (12% to be exact). Soak Poison or Steel types and use Toxic, or you can go with Protect for extra healing. Scald is powerful STAB.

Lumineon @ Leftovers
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- U-turn
- Return
- Sweet Kiss

Explanation: Set up Rain Dance using another Pokemon, preferably holding a Damp Rock, and Lumineon should be able to outspeed most Pokemon. Waterfall is STAB and I prefer it over Aqua Tail for the higher accuracy and the chance to flinch despite having a lower BP by 10. U-turn covers its weakness to Grass and also covers Psychic and Dark types, and allows Lumineon to make a quick getaway when its health goes down. Hopefully your Lumineon loves you since Return with a BP of 102 is a powerful move that deals damage to types that Lumineon's Waterfall and U-Turn fail to cover. Sweet Kiss confuses the target and has a chance of them hurting themselves and thus missing a turn, allowing you to continue dealing damage to them.

Luminata (Lumineon) (F) @ Waterium Z
Ability: Storm Drain
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Atk / 8 Def / 168 SpD
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Aqua Ring (+1 Def on Z-Move)
- Bounce (Stall, invincibility and 30% to paralyze)
- Toxic (Continuous damage)
- Dive (Stall, invincibility)

You can also use Confuse Ray, if you don't have access to Dive.

Yes, another forgotten Pokémon. She's a really good stalker, cuz of Bounce and Dive. It's also got a decent bulk, thanks to Z-Aqua Ring. Boosting it's Def to 114.

Basically, you can turn this fish into a very annoying staller.
I don't see much use for Lumineon, other than stall or support.
Anyways... Have fun! ❤️
