What are various ways to get away from a Keckleon when you steal from them in EOT/Darkness?

The easiest way is to use a Pure Seed to teleport to the stairs. You can try to walk to them but the kelcleons probably have Agility and will catch you faster than you can move across the the first room.

The best way to escape Kecleon from killing you is to eat a Pure Seed after retrieving your wanted items. It's best to have more than one partner so Kecleon will attack them instead of you. You should also bring Reviver Seeds to stall them while they fight your partners and you walk to the stairs.
