If a Pokemon with unburden uses its item then receives a new one through trick will it keep the speed boost?

That's not the same. He saying if Trick was used.

No. You must USE your item to get a Speed boost. I have tried this on PO, and the only Speed boost I got was from the Choice Scarf my opponent gave me.
