What happens when you use false swipe on someone with 1HP left?

Will the Pokemon faint or will it say that false swipe failed?

False Swipe will fail. A Pokemon with 1 HP cannot be hit by False Swipe, and the Move will fail to defeat the target. In this case it is the only move that can deal 0 damage.
> If the target has 1 HP remaining, False Swipe will hit and leave the target at 1 HP.

A restrained attack that prevents the target from fainting. The target is left with at least 1 HP.So it will say it failed.
