  • Ultra Ball - Has a higher catch rate than the Great Ball.
  • Master Ball - Obtained in different ways throughout the Pokemon series. Ensures a 100% catch rate.
  • Premier Ball - (Avaliable from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire onwards) Much like the Pokeball, but it is coloured white. Can be obtained by purchasing 10 or more Pokeballs from a market at once.
  • Friend Ball - (Pokemon Gold and Silver only) Custom Pokeball made by Kurt. It is fashioned from a Green Apricorn. Makes Pokemon caught more friendly.
  • Level Ball - (Pokemon Gold and Silver only) Custom Pokeball made by Kurt. It is fashioned from a Red Apricorn. Catches Pokemon of a lower level.

  • Dive Ball - (Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire onwards) A ball that has a higher catch rate when used on Pokemon encountered while diving.
  • Luxury Ball - (Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire onwards) Aids in your captured Pokemon's happiness/friendship levels. Useful for Pokemon who need a high friendship level to evolve.
