I'd say, its not to hard, but just make sure your team isn't sub par, Before trying a region think of the gyms in that reigon that might hurt your team of 3, then continue around that. Ex. If going to Hoenn a grass type may not be the best choice, but yes fire maybe more electric maybe more suitable, and Fighting would be a great option, always cover your weaknesses, I beat the whole thing with Whimsicott, Magmortar, and Starmie.
