Question

PokemonDb suggestions

• Upload more videos to the Youtube Channel for Pokemondb
• Add in Gen III move tutors
• "I think Pokemon DB should have the Dream World areas, Pokemon, and special moves that they might know when you get it from DW."
• Include fossils in pokemon evolution chains and on their location pages (ex. Hexlix Fossil for Omanyte, Old Amber for Aerodactyl, etc)
• Put in more sprites in the gallery, such as back sprites, moving ones, spinoff game sprites, etc
• Update the moveset searcher with Move tutor moves.
• Putting Japanese characters next to any romanizations of Japanese words.
• Make a map for wayward cave in Sinnoh.
• Create a Gen V damage calculator. (DT edit: I do have a program of this I wrote myself if you're interested)
• Add a location guide for hidden hallows. (Maybe have a section that is Hidden Hollows, saying what they are and what Pokemon can appear and all that crap. Then, have it so that on every route with Hidden Hollows, there is a hyperlink that leads you to pictures of the Hidden Hollows location on each Route.)
• Include a Safari Zone section/guide for the site.

Pokebase suggestions

• Move TCG questions elsewhere
• Make the Rule box bigger
• Add a Meta users list for a direct link.
• Perhaps raise the point limit to flag and vote from 80 to 200.
• Add a "kick" or and/or "mute" option to the chat room.
• Make it so that questions can be exclusive to certain ranks of users (ex. questions, only Editors or higher can see)
• Give Experts the ability to double flag to compensate for the inability to hide.
• Make it so that users cannot see who hides their question.
• Revise expert system so that you can only become a higher rank on one subsite without becoming higher on the others.
• Have a way to make yourself idle.
• Create a "get involved" section where people can post more social content, as opposed to using the meta.
• When you "favorite" a user, make it so that it applies in all three sections of the site.
• Make it so that when we IP ban someone, it shows all accounts with that IP on the blocked users page.
• add a "last login" on all the users' profiles. So other users can see when that user latest logged in to see if that user is active and also ask that user things, that would not be answered if that user isn´t active. And some phrases if the user is active or not. Like if he/she logs in every day it says "very active" one time every week "active" one time every month "not active" and so on.
• Ban the use of softhypens for usernames, posts, etc.
• Have a means of "bumping" old posts.
• Have a way for the chat to detect multiposts, so as to prevent double posting.
• Have a way to see who is viewing a post when you are also looking.
• Have mods edit users profiles.
• Log out with all three sections instead of just one.
• have a private chat section.
• Set up a forum format for the Battle subway.
• Put the meta and BS under "other stuff."
• Have an automatic "are you sure you want to leave the page?" buttons when making a question or answer.
• Make it so Mods can "Lock" old and resolved questions so that New users can not answer them.

Here are a few I suggested myself:

• Create a tag based filter to block out certain questions. This would work perfectly for people that don't want to see spoilers, or for anything else. If it has a certain tag (eg. "black/white 2"), then it won't show up to the user, but they can go to a separate page if they really want to see it.
• Create a way to either delete posts (not to regular users, of course), or make them invisible to you when viewing. Being a mod, I run into the issue of having to see a ton of hidden posts, and even with the new page feature, it can be annoying to have to sift through all the hidden stuff before finding what I need. Sometimes I just log out and look that way.
• Create an auto resize on incoming posts, that way giant images don't run wild everywhere.
• Perhaps create a "compare" feature for pokemon and/or moves, that way you can quickly weigh decisions between two things.
• On the flag list for admins, perhaps having a way to not show flagged things that are on a hidden page so that they don't pop up as much on the admin page.

Bugs and Errors

• You cannot post "0" on the chat. (Jun 19) ("There was a server error, try again later." )
• I am incapable of voting on questions, but I can vote on answers just fine. (all three sections "The vote arrow is green, but when I move my cursor over it, it doenst turn into an index finger, and clicking it does nothing.") (Swaggron, Jun 24)

To anyone who can edit: Because this has a lot of information from different pages, please don't edit this without saying exactly what you changed. I don't want to have to see "Edited by ____ because of something pointless and run the risk of misinformation.

I would also like to point out that the last login thing is completely useless. Moderators do have access to this feature. And it says that WIll last logged in one month ago. People can just leave themselves logged in for as long as they want. The system doesn't automatically log us out. The only reason my log in is more recent is because of my brother. The only times I've had to log back in (besides with my brother's new account) is when my computer restarts everything for system updates. So as a way to tell if a user is active, it is completely useless.

I thought I answered that TCG question and said they are fine on Pokebase or RMT for now, as there are only a few and it would make a dead section.

As for login, I do plan to add a "last seen online" field that is visible to everyone.

Some of these have been implemented/fixed:

Add in Gen III move tutors

Unless this was something different, all tutors are on the move tutors page.

Put in more sprites in the gallery, such as back sprites, moving ones, spinoff game sprites, etc

Back sprites have been there for ages. Animated sprites are there now (only front so far).
Spinoffs I probably won't do.

Move TCG questions elsewhere

As I said in the comment, they are fine where they are.

That one was suggested because it didn't come up on the name display, so I could name myself "pokemaster" with a few softhypens in there to make it seem like I'm you.

lol I still can't vote on anwers, but I have come to the conclusion that this is my computer and not the site, for I can vote on my iPod just fine.
